Launching a Collective Food Procurement Project: Lessons learned by the Mutuelle d’approvisionnement des marchés solidaires (MAMS)
From 2021 to 2022, we supported the Mutuelle d’approvisionnement des marchés solidaires (MAMS) as part of the Local and Integrated Food System in Montreal (SALIM) program by providing financial contributions and technological tools, as well as exploring governance models.
To share the lessons learned from this project, we have produced a guide covering the key stages of a collective procurement project, such as governance, operational logistics and human resource management. Drawing on the experience of MAMS, this guide provides practical advice and food for thought for those wishing to launch similar projects.
