About us

Who we are and what we do

Collectif Récolte is a social economy enterprise that relies on collective intelligence and community mobilization to catalyze and co-create local solutions which lead to sustainable food practices and create a better future for everyone. Since our founding in 2017, we have been defending, supporting and accompanying change agents in the development of their projects to optimize our territorial food systems, from production to consumption.

We are proud to work with inspiring, unique and innovative partners who want to make a difference. These collaborative efforts enable us to learn and grow, to create resources accessible to everyone, and to contribute to the transfer of knowledge needed for system and community development.

You can also find some of our resources on Praxis, “a platform for discovery and knowledge sharing for a more collaborative and open society.” These resources are listed under our “Système Alimentaire Local et Intégré à Montréal (SALIM)” folder, as well as in the banques de ressources pour les pôles logistiques agroalimentaires folder. While our entire library remains on the Collectif Récolte site, we’re delighted to share these works on other sites to give greater visibility to these tools of collective interest.

A space for sharing

This site offers a wide range of resources in the form of reports, guides, studies, summary sheets, video clips and webinars. The resources are also grouped by theme, to help you better understand food systems, their challenges and their evolution. It’s a true catalog of our knowledge and experience, as well as a forum for food ecosystem stakeholders to share their learnings on the site’s various themes.

It couldn’t be simpler: are you a Collectif Récolte partner, a community organization, a social economy enterprise or simply an instigator of a better food future? Contact us via the suggestion form and tell us what resources you’d like to see in Collectif Récolte’s Resource Library, and we’ll get back to you with a quick and easy process.

This space has been designed and developed to address current and future issues. By working with partners and collaborators from a wide range of backgrounds, we are able to guarantee a Resource Library that will evolve according to the needs of the ecosystem, with an approach that values equity, diversity and inclusion in both the substance and form of shared content. In this sense, we invite project leaders whose visibility is limited by cultural, economic, socio-political or geographical barriers to write to us to take advantage of this platform to spread their messages.

We know that sharing knowledge is vital to the development of ideas and projects, which is why we’re doing our part to facilitate and drive the changes needed for responsible, sustainable and solidarity-based food systems.

We warmly thank the producers, artisans, community organizations, researchers, volunteers and all those working to promote sustainable, equitable and environmentally friendly food systems. We are also grateful to our partners whose support makes projects like this possible. Finally, thank you to all those who have helped make the Resource Library a reality.

Collectif Récolte’s Resource Library is a project of the Local and Integrated Food System in Montreal (SALIM) program, a multi-partner program led by Collectif Récolte, with funding from Montreal in common. Montreal in common is a project piloted by the City of Montreal as part of the Smart Cities Challenge made possible with the financial support of the Government of Canada.
