Practical fact sheet: Pooling resources to optimize local and solidarity-based food supply

In the fall of 2024, we participated in the Nourrir tous les milieux (Feeding All Communities) project, led by Vivre en Ville, to support 12 projects backed by Quebec’s regional intersectoral healthy living roundtables in developing accessible and healthy food through collaborative approaches.
Four workshops enabled participating projects to share their experiences of implementing solutions at various territorial scales, ranging from large municipalities to RCMs to regional sectors. The collective work highlighted courses of action that promote the establishment of conditions for success, while identifying frequently encountered obstacles and solutions to overcome them.
In collaboration with Vivre en Ville, we have co-created this practical fact sheet, which summarizes the key findings of the learning cohort on local and solidarity-based procurement to inspire and equip organizations involved in similar projects.
