Comic strips: Conversations on Montreal’s local and solidarity food supply

From November 2022 to June 2023, Collectif Récolte, in partnership with Espace Cuisine pour la sécurité alimentaire du Conseil SAM, developed a series of webinars around a key theme in the reform of our food systems: local and solidarity procurement. The goal of these five virtual participatory meetings was to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing between change agents in Quebec’s food systems. The sessions enabled participants to exchange ideas, share their experiences and highlight innovative measures taken by the responsible food ecosystem.

In keeping with our desire to pass on our knowledge from this series of webinars to as many people as possible, we are proud to present the Conversations on local and solidarity food supply series illustrated in comic strips!

These comic strips offer a unique opportunity to revisit what we’ve learned, share it more widely and inspire an active commitment to more responsible, sustainable and solidarity-based food. Don’t hesitate to share them with your network to help them understand the challenges and solutions of local food systems!

The five topics discussed during the webinars were brought to life thanks to the creativity of Mélika Illustration.
